A Wise Woman Poem

On the last day of the Midwest Women’s Herbal Conference in 2023, as we were packing up our stuff, the woman in the bunk next to me presented me with a hand written poem that she had written for me. Her name is Stephanie Wiedenhoeft. After reading it I was crying and hugged her and we had a good long talk.

It is interesting that we go about what we have been called to do and often never know how we have inspired or influenced those around us. Stephanie gave me permission to share this poem with you here on my website. Thank you, Stephanie.

Wise Woman

Life-long learning

Wise Woman

Something’s stirring

This deep yearning

To see humanity turning

To save a planet that is burning

Wise Woman

I hear you

Wise Woman

I revere you

And though some may fear you

I know you are a Seer of Truth

I know you are a Speaker of Truth

Wise Woman

So much gratitude

Wise Woman

in determined servitude

of our great Mother

What took a lifetime to discover

The lost ways

you have worked so hard to recover

Wise woman

You are a treasure trove

of knowledge

Wise Woman

You have so much left to offer

Education we all need

Passion we all aspire to

Wise Woman

I look up to you

Keeper of knowledge

Fire of passion’

Leader of change

Practitioner of sacred ways
